You Yang is an award-winning flutist, educator, and historical performance specialist based in Shanghai. Recognized for her sensitive musicianship and nuanced interpretations, she is passionate about bringing classical music to life through performance, teaching, and digital media. Her artistic interests span solo and orchestral performance, historical performance practice, and collaborations across musical genres and cultures.

After eleven years of studying, performing, and teaching in the United States, You earned degrees from the University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music, the New England Conservatory, and the University of North Texas. She is the First Prize winner of the 2025 National Flute Association Piccolo Orchestral Excerpt Competition and has also received top honors at the Myrna Brown Artist Competition and several national young artist competitions.
